Jimo Ancient City Relics (即墨故城遗址)
Jimo Ancient City Relics is located in the vicinity of the present-day DaZhuMao Village in Guxian Town, 30 kilometers southeast of Pingdu City proper, it became famous for a fierce battle between the State of Qi and the State of Yan, in which a Qi general named Tian Dan defeated the Yan troops with fire ox arrows.

From its establishment during the seventh Tianbao year in the Northern Qi period(556 AD), it served as the political,economic and cultural center in the Jiaodong Peninsula.
