As Qingdao’s center of knowledge, this newly renovated library has thousands of English books neatly and categorically placed in a large quiet room suitable for reading and note-taking. No membership or identification is required for entry. If you would like a library card to check-out books bring your passport; the application process takes about 10-15 minutes. You will have to leave a deposit to check out books: (1) 80元 for Chinese language books (2) 160元 for English language books.
